The Shalom Center was ortiginally the Hope Center orphanage, childhood home of two of our Board memebrs. We thank God for granting the completion of repairs to the main residential facility of the Shalom Center in May 2025. A cluster of 6 NGO's in Mekelle, launched a pilot residential drug rehabilitation program with 11 residents and 27 staff in Fall 2025. A second group of 12 residents were admitted in Feb 2026. A new farming method has been implemented at the Shalom Center with a hope to improve food security for roughly 6 million people in the Tigray region.  Please text Dr. Paul (630)885-8627 for more info.
